Pups and their people will have a blast with thrilling games and activities like Simon Says\, a speedy 20-yard dash\, bubble chase\, paw painting\, and endless playtime in the sand pit! Not only that\, but your dogs can try out an incredible agility course and even earn the prestigious AKC Canine Good Citizenship Award – talk about impressive! That’s not all – get ready to be amazed by incredible doggy demos by The Department of Public Safety & Corrections Services K-9 Unit.  \nHold onto your leashes\, because we’ve got some fantastic contests and prizes for your beloved pooches. They can compete for the titles of Best Costume\, Best Kisser\, Best Dancer\, Best Owner/Pet Look-alike\, Catch the Treat\, Musical Sit\, and Best Pet Trick\, all judged by a panel of local celebrities. But wait\, there’s more! The kids will be set up for a great time with pet-themed arts & crafts\, face painting\, and a bouncy house – fun for the whole family! \nDon’t forget to explore the vendor marketplace and meet some adorable adoptable animals at the pet rescue groups’ booths – you might just find your new furry family member! And of course\, all that excitement can work up an appetite. DESCRIPTION:Attention all pet parents! The Havre de Grace United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Animal Blessing & Pet Expo on Sunday\, September 10\, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Concord Point Park in Havre de Grace.  There is no rain date.  (in case of rain\, event will be cancelled.)  \nThe blessing will take place at 1pm followed by a K9 demo by the Havre de Grace police at 2:30. There will be a children’s activity table\, bake sale\, and plenty of animal groups including the Humane Society of Harford County. \nAdmission is free\, but a donation for area shelters & rescue groups is really appreciated! DESCRIPTION:The Paws in the Park Dogwalk and Festival will return to Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm in Gaithersburg\, from noon-4 p.m. on Sunday\, April 30.\nAfter a three-year hiatus during the COVID-19 health crisis\, the Montgomery County Humane Society will hold the event for the 22nd time to raise funds to help homeless cats and dogs. \nBohrer Park is located at 506 South Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg\, MD. \nPets\, dog owners and families will be able to enjoy a one-mile dog walk\, an agility competition\, contests and games. There will be music\, prizes\, vendors\, food available for purchase and kids activities. \nRegistration is now open. To register and for more information\, go to https://www.mchumane.org/paws-in-the-park-2023. \nRegistration in advance is $18 per person.  Families up to four people can register for $30. Children 12-and-under are free. On-site registration on April 30 will be $20 per person and $36 for families of up to four.

The CDS Detection Dogs are always a big hit sniffing “contraband” on volunteer guests.There will be contests and prizes for Best Costume\, Best Kisser\, Best Dancer\, Best Owner/Pet Look-alike\, Catch the Treat\, Musical Sit and Best Pet Trick–all judged by our local celebrity panel.Kids can enjoy pet-themed arts & crafts\, face painting and a bounce house\, while everyone can peruse the vendor marketplace and visit pet rescue groups with adoptable animals.New this year is Trunk or Treat for both kids and pets. \nBring your appetite\, as a variety of food and treats will be available for purchase during the event.Tickets for adults are $15 online and at the gate.Tickets for children (11 and under)are $7.A Family Pack (2 adult/2 children)tickets is $40.
