The Frederick County Humane Society is a non-profit animal welfare organization that provides programs and services for pets to thrive.

Founded in 1910, Frederick County Humane Society are located in Frederick, Maryland and dedicated to providing programs and services to keep pets happy, healthy and in lifelong homes.  We are a private non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that relies on grants, private donations, and fundraising events for all of our operating expenses. We are not affiliated with the Frederick County Animal Control, also known as the Frederick County Animal Shelter.  Therefore, we do not accept pets for surrender, or provide pets for adoption.  We do in fact work with this organization in promotion of animal adoptions, and various events throughout the year.
